This Christmas we invite you to show a little love….  Our little Village here at Karinya needs your support always, and especially over the Giving Season. A season of joy and kindness, which is often also impacted by the challenges of life.  We all think of others around us at this time, and we especially think of family and friends. As you celebrate your circle of love and support, share your recognition of others through a gift to the Karinya House community – women and their families without the love and support that you so greatly value. A special moment shared between an inspiring Woman and her Karinya Caseworker recently…

“During my labour I felt completely and fully supported by my Caseworker – I’m so thankful she was there for me and my baby at this time.”

Our Caseworker said of the same moment…“I feel blessed to support such incredible women. Having the opportunity to support them through the experience of childbirth is just amazing. I am so lucky to have met this little man as he entered this world!”

During our Christmas Appeal, please support the team who support the women we walk alongside, 24 hour, 7 days per week, 365 days a year. Make a donation to our Christmas Appeal.

We are aiming for 1,000 gifts of $20. This will support 300 hours walking alongside women, funding the support services delivered across the October to December quarter and into 2020. Our community fully fund the support of between 15-20 of the women we are walking alongside at any one time. With support from the ACT Government we are walking alongside 40-45 women at any one time.

About the 2019 Christmas Theme…

You may be aware of our theme this year, “We are….“, which shares with you a little of what we do.  The theme was created by our wonderful pro-bono marketing support team, 180 Degree Marketing in conjunction with the wizard videographer, Ben Wade, Missing Bits Productions.

The theme song, chosen by Ben, reveals the phrase, ‘show a little love’. Our dear Friend and Corporate Partner, Stephanie Corkhill-Hyles, designed and created our Christmas 2019 image, after viewing the video series.  As always, she has captured the spirit of the Karinya Village.
