As well as our fundraising Christmas Appeal, which is so critical to sustaining the services we provide, we are very fortunate to be supported with Christmas Gift Appeals by community and corporate partners, who are collecting gifts and gift cards to support both many, many Christmas Hampers. We distribute around 100 Christmas Hampers each year to our women in residence, women and families who are part of our outreach footprint, as well as many women and their families who have exited our service, and who value a little special support at this time of year, through us from their community (you!). Just a note, we generally do receive more gifts and gift cards that we need to distribute at Christmas Time. We use any excess either to support women in the care of other services, or for those special occasions in the lives of the women we support through the year ahead.
We extend our sincere thanks to the communities of:
You can see we are very well supported with Gift and Gift Card Collections. This is such a warm and vibrant time of year and it envelopes the women and families we are walking alongside or have come to know over times past. We thank all these Corporate and Community partners for their gifts and support. And we thank the other individual and family Friends of Karinya, who we know will just pop in with gifts. It is a busy time of year at Karinya. If you would like to support Karinya House this Christmas, please do contribute any amount to our Christmas Appeal.
We are aiming to meet our halfway fundraising target for the 2018/2019 financial year. As at today 26 November 2018. we were $217,098 short of our target as at 31 December 2018. Please go our Christmas Appeal Fundraising page and support our Christmas Appeal, and leave a message of hope and joy to the women of Karinya. You can make your donation in lieu of a gift to a family member or friend, and if you do, there is also a link on the donation page to print off a Gift Certificate to give to your family member or friend.
Our sincere thanks to the talented and generous Stephanie Corkhill-Hyles, who has again provided a beautiful artwork to support our best wishes of love and kindness this Christmas to you all, our Village. Indeed!
