Goodwill Wine – Seriously Good!

Recently, we came across this wonderful Australian winery that has a seriously active social enterprise model!  The Story goes a bit like this…

“We genuinely believe in helping others, which is why we donate 50% of our profits to charity.

It’s our way of repaying the generosity that was shown in 2009, when our founder, David Laity, lost most of what he owned in the Black Saturday bushfires. He was able to start again with a $15,000 grant from the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal – money donated by legends like you.

Overwhelmed by this kindness, he used the grant to begin Goodwill Wine as a way to pay forward this incredible generosity.”     Read the rest of the story here.

As our Karinya Friends know, we have a great affinity with our local cool climate wine region and we are grateful for all their support, particularly as part of our annual Mystery Wine Draw! We also encourage you to get out amongst them.. enjoy our local region, and their wine making skills, as well as remembering Karinya House when you exit the Cellar Door.  All contributions to our Mystery Wine Draw are welcome .. at any time!

We also now have a great opportunity for those of you who do like your wine, and like to order online.

Goodwill Wine sources quality boutique Australian wines and donates half of the profits to charities and non-profit organisations. By selecting Karinya House when you order, we get your donation and you get awesome wine.

In fact, the wines are so good they come with a money-back guarantee.

The Age describes them as “seriously good” and Gourmet Traveller Wine says they’re “quality boutique wine”. Which means you can get great wine, while supporting a great cause. Cheers to that!
