Case Management

Karinya House is committed to ethical and effective practice, within an organisational culture inspired and sustained by the women with whom we work.

Individual casework management and flexibility in service provision are paramount at Karinya House.

An individualised support plan is  co-designed and developed with each woman, in response to their presented needs. Support plans support each woman’s aspirations and are aimed at promoting self-direction, empowerment and competence which facilitate women moving forward independently.

Support plans may incorporate health and wellbeing support relating to housing, life skills, continuing education, mental health, childbirth, parenting, advocacy and appropriate referral.

Karinya caseworkers collaborate a team, with and for each woman. Each woman is assigned two case workers, one health professional and one mental health practitioner (if required) as their support team. This ensures continuity of care.

Full casework management services are the basis for all services to women either in an outreach and/or residential capacity throughout their engagement with Karinya House.
