The 2026 Home. Hope. Horizon. Charity Luncheon

Women who are pregnant and parenting experience some of the highest rates of domestic and family violence, homelessness and poverty. Karinya House stands beside women, providing safe housing, health and trauma support, casework and essential care throughout pregnancy and beyond.

For over 28 years, Karinya House has supported more than 2,800 women in the Canberra region.
The Home. Hope. Horizon. Charity Luncheon celebrates this vital work and raises essential funds to continue it.

It costs Karinya House an average of $20,000 to provide one woman and her children with the wrap around care they require at this critical time in their lives. With an average support period of 177 days, the women Karinya House supports develop the confidence to be able to make choices that support long-term independence for themselves and their children. Charting a new path forward.

The Luncheon has become a premier event on Canberra’s social and business calendar. Previous events have sold out, attracting over 300 guests, including senior business leaders, policymakers, media figures and community advocates, all guests are united by a shared commitment to making a difference.
