Esther Bogaart became involved in Karinya House after hearing about its incredible work from her friend, Catherine O’Halloran, a Senior Case Worker there.
Esther is currently an Assistant Secretary at the Attorney-Generalʻs Department. Most recently, she was an Assistant Secretary in the Office for Women in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Prior to that, she spent 14 years at the Attorney-General’s Department with responsibility for issues such as family violence, elder abuse and legal assistance.
Esther believes in the strength of community and is committed, both professionally and personally, to empowering women to live their lives to the fullest.
Esther is married with two beautiful children. She occasionally dabbles in the odd half marathon.
