Amanda Toms

Committee Member

Passionate about the education and empowerment of vulnerable women, particularly new mothers, Amanda commenced with Karinya House as a volunteer in early 2016 and was nominated to join the Committee in November 2016.  Amanda is married to James and is mum to Arriana, Josh and Jada.  Amanda has over 26 years of diverse experience ranging from the private sector, ACT Government and various roles for the Commonwealth Government.  In particular, Amanda has 14 years experience in managing corporate real estate across Commonwealth portfolio’s including the Department of Defence and Department of Finance.  Her recent roles have encompassed leading Major and Minor Capital Investment projects (including remediation), Asset and Property management, Contract Procurement, Transitions and day to day Contract and relationship management. In 2016, Amanda began her most recent role as in the Department of Defence as Director, Contestability Division in Strategic Policy and Intelligence Group.  Amanda has a Graduate Certificate in Management ANU and a Diploma in Commercial Asset Management.
